Are smart features available on the free plan?
Yes. Conversation summaries, smart suggestions, and program reports are included in both Standard and Pro. No upgrade required.
What data do smart features use?
Conversation summaries process your email and text message content. Smart suggestions analyze individual conversation threads and call logs. Program reports use the school name and sport. We never send your personal contact information (email, name, phone number) to third-party services.
Can I use Scouted without smart features?
Absolutely. Smart features are triggered on demand — you tap to generate a summary or view suggestions. If you never tap, no data is sent to external services. The app works fully as an organizational tool without using any smart features.
Do smart features work for all sports?
Yes. Summaries, suggestions, and program reports work for all sports supported in the app — baseball, basketball, football, lacrosse, swimming, volleyball, and more.
Is my data safe if I'm under 18?
Yes. All data protections apply equally to minor users. No personally identifying information about minor users is retained by our service providers, and all processing occurs under zero data retention agreements.
How accurate are the summaries and suggestions?
Smart features are designed to be helpful, but they're not perfect. Summaries and suggestions are generated automatically and should always be reviewed by you. They're meant to supplement your own judgment — not replace it.
