No. HitMark analyzes your video entirely on your device. Your footage is never uploaded to a server to be processed — finding the pitches and creating the clips all happens locally on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.

No. We never receive, store, or look at your videos or clips on any server. Because everything is processed on your device, there is nothing on our end for anyone to see.

Only where you send them. A clip leaves your device only when you choose to share it through your device's share sheet — saving it to Photos or Files, sending it in Messages, or handing it to another app. Until you share it, it stays with you.

No. There's no account to create, and there's no analytics or tracking in the app. We don't collect your personal information or watch how you use HitMark.

HitMark uses a custom computer-vision model to find pitches, and like any automated system it isn't perfect. Missed pitches and occasional false positives are expected — especially in noisy, distant, or unusual footage. We're continually fine-tuning the model to improve its accuracy over time.

Film the at-bat with a steady, reasonably close view of the batter and home plate, and leave the audio on — the model listens for the sound of bat-on-ball contact. Clearer, well-framed footage gives it the strongest signals to work with.

Yes. You can review every clip and trim it before you share it, so you stay in control of what you keep even when the model gets one wrong.

HitMark is free to download, and all of its core features are free: importing an at-bat, finding and reviewing pitches, trimming, slow motion, mute, and sharing clips. HitMark Pro is an optional subscription, $0.99 per month, that adds a few extra tools.

Pro adds three things: in-app capture (record right inside HitMark, automatically set to the recommended resolution and frame rate), instant swing replay (the screen plays a few seconds behind live — 3, 5, or 10s — which is great for cage sessions), and highlight reels (combine your best pitches into one shareable reel instead of sending clips one by one).

No. Everything from the original version stays free. Pro is just for players who also want to film and study their swing inside the app and build reels.

HitMark Pro is an auto-renewing monthly subscription billed through your Apple Account. You can cancel anytime in your device Settings under your Apple Account subscriptions; Pro stays active through the end of the current period. If you reinstall or switch devices, use "Restore Purchases" on the Pro screen.

Yes. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple's App Store — we don't run servers and never see your payment details. HitMark only checks with Apple whether your Pro subscription is active. Your videos are still processed entirely on your device and are never uploaded.
